Beyond the Hour® Success Circle is a 9-month mastermind program that supports and motivates mental health entrepreneurs to succeed in developing, marketing, and launching any of the following:

  • Establishing or expanding a private or group practice

  • Developing a career as a professional speaker or educator

Program Details

In Beyond the Hour® Success Circle, you will be personally mentored by Dr. Diane Gehart and supported by a small group of like-minded peers who have also decided to be the next generation of mental health entrepreneurs and trailblazers

What does the program include?

  • 27 Hours of Small Group Mastermind Meetings with Dr. Diane Gehart related to digital content creation, practice development, marketing, book writing, passive income, or other forms of expanding your career
    • Two 1.5-hour mastermind meetings offered each month for a total of 18 sessions.
    • Convenient meeting times on weekends and weeknights, tailored to the schedules of those who enroll. 
    • Each participant has the opportunity to present a specific project, question, or project monthly to receive personalized feedback from Dr. Gehart and the group.
    • Transcripts and recordings of all sessions ensure maximum benefit and ease of use.
  • Online Community where you can connect with trailblazers like yourself to get high-quality feedback, share ideas, problem-solve, and mutually inspire.
    • Receive meaningful feedback from like-minded peers on your project, including web pages, logos, book chapters, presentation slides, etc. 
    •  Learn from and be inspired by the example of others. 
    • Reduce the sense of isolation and burnout faced by many entrepreneurs.
  • Optional Accountability Partner program for those who work best with the support of friends.
    • Do you work best with a friend or two who can share the ups and downs of creating something new? If so, pair up with fellow entrepreneurs to have a partner to share your journey. 
    • Enjoy encouragement, assistance, and accountability from like-minded peers as you support each other on your journeys. 

How Long Is the Course?

The course is 9 months, November 2024-July 2025

When Are the Live Sessions?

The live sessions will be held on weekends and weeknights based on the preferences of those who enroll. 

How Small is the Group?

The group is limited to 16 participants, with 8 people scheduled to present their work for feedback during each live session. 

Recordings and Transcripts

Each live session will be recorded and posted in a private group course along with an AI-generated transcript. You are welcome to send in questions prior to the live sessions for Dr. Gehart to answer and for the group to discuss--so you always get your questions answered.

Private Online Community

The course includes a private online community where you can post drafts of your work and questions to receive invaluable feedback from Dr. Gehart and your peers, saving you time and money. 

Continuing Education Credits

This course is approved for up to 27 hours of CE from through both the NBCC (National Board for Certified Counselors) and CAMFT (California Association for Marriage and Family Therapists).

The Therapy that Works Institute has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 7125. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. Diane R Gehart is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.

Therapy that Works Institute (Provider #1000141) is approved by the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists to sponsor continuing education for LMFTs, LCSWs, LPCCs and LEPs. Therapy that Works Institute maintains responsibility for this program/course and its content.

Course CE certificates will be awarded upon completion of all course modules and the evaluation form.

What are the Learning Objectives?

The goal of the program is to enable mental health professionals to achieve their chosen entrepreneurial goal(s) for the course. 

At the end of the program, participants will be able to:

1. Design a business plan with a budget that follows both professional ethics and relevant laws for their chosen entrepreneurial goal.

2. Apply current technologies for developing digital and written content that adheres to professional standards of ethics and evidence-informed treatment.

3. Identify at least 2 appropriate sources for finding professional literature and statistics.

Dr. Diane Gehart

An award-winning author, educator, and TEDx speaker, Dr. Diane Gehart has trained thousands of licensed mental health professionals over the past 30 years, translating complex clinical theories into easily understood principles and practices.

She is the Founder of the Therapy that Works Institute, pioneering a Unifying Framework for Psychotherapy, and is Professor Emerita at California State University, Northridge.

Her authored works include Theory and Treatment Planning in Counseling and Psychotherapy, Mastering Competencies in Family Therapy, Mindfulness and Acceptance in Couple and Family Therapy, and Mindfulness for Chocolate Lovers: A Lighthearted Way to Stress Less and Savor More Each Day and she has co-edited two volumes on Collaborative-Dialogic Practices: Relationships and Conversations that Make a Difference Across Cultures and Contexts with Harlene Anderson.
